Facilities Manager - Outback Expedition Role
We seek a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Outback museum, ensuring seamless maintenance and upkeep of our facilities and grounds.
This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering team dedicated to preserving Australia's prehistoric past. As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing our buildings, infrastructure, and offsite locations, including the Dinosaur Stampede National Monument.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance Operations: Oversee maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
* Site Services: Manage site services, including power, water, communications, pest control, and waste management.
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance across the museum and its satellite sites.
You will thrive in this role if you have a passion for nature, a strong background in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade. We are looking for a proactive and adaptable professional with strong problem-solving abilities and a broad maintenance skillset.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A current Working with Children Blue Card or equivalent
* Facilities management or maintenance experience in a relevant industry
* Basic mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, or general maintenance skills
* A strong understanding of WHS regulations
Additionally, forklift and heavy-vehicle licenses, as well as WHS certification, are highly regarded qualifications. Experience working in remote or rural environments and project management skills are also beneficial.
