We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Worker.
Job Description:
As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people in a trauma-informed and strengths-based framework. This will involve working collaboratively with our team to develop and implement safety plans, building strong connections with Aboriginal agencies, and fostering positive relationships with the young people we serve.
Responsibilities:
* Providing emotional support and guidance to young people in need
* Developing and implementing safety plans to ensure the well-being of young people
* Building relationships with Aboriginal agencies to strengthen families and cultural connections
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A deep understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW
* Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based frameworks, including Circle of Courage and the Sanctuary Model
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment
