Job Description As Product Manager, you will define, develop, and maintain a complex product portfolio from concept and design through production, sustainment, upgrades, and end of life. You will act as the voice of the customer internally, translating operational requirements into clear product direction while balancing technical, commercial, and regulatory considerations. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned to business strategy, customer needs, and market trends. Lead product lifecycle activities including introduction, upgrades, sustainment, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life strategy. Translate customer and operational needs into clear product requirements and specifications in collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams. Support pricing, business cases, profitability analysis, bids, and proposals with strong commercial insight. Coordinate with engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and customers to drive successful product outcomes. Monitor competitor activity, emerging technologies, and market developments to inform product strategy. Ensure alignment with defence standards, export controls, configuration management, and other regulatory requirements. Contribute to product positioning, collateral development, and broader go-to-market activities. Desired Skills and Experience Essential skills and attributes 10 years of experience in product management within defence, aerospace, or another complex regulated industry. Strong technical understanding of complex systems, ideally including weapon systems, electro-mechanical systems, or related technologies. Demonstrated commercial acumen across pricing, business case development, contract support, and profitability drivers. Experience managing products across the full lifecycle in collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders. Knowledge of defence compliance obligations, standards, and export control requirements. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with project management and ERP tools. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
