The World Mosquito Program, an initiative of Monash University, is a not-for-profit global leader dedicated to protecting communities from devastating mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, Zika, yellow fever, and chikungunya. We use a safe, naturally occurring bacteria called Wolbachia to reduce the ability of mosquitoes to transmit these viruses. Our innovative, non-GMO, and cost-effective method has already protected 13.3 million people across 14 countries, with a demonstrated 77% reduction in dengue incidence in treated areas in Indonesia.
