This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations, aligning sales, factory production, site delivery, and crane operations to deliver profitable and predictable outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
As Operations Manager, you'll run the "business machine" and ensure our projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to our high-quality standards. You'll coordinate sales, production, and site teams, manage key assets, and develop processes that reduce reliance on the Managing Director while growing the business. You will also actively manage the sales pipeline to ensure manufacturing and crane hire resources are fully booked and optimised.
This role is hands-on, strategic, and critical to the success of our expanding operation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute the operational growth strategy, aligning capacity to demand and integrating sales, production, and site delivery
* Manage operational planning across factory production, site crews, logistics, and crane operations
* Keep the sales pipeline full for manufacturing projects and crane hire, ensuring steady workflow and maximised revenue
* Oversee project costs, schedule adherence, and production efficiency
* Maintain financial control and ensure costs align with quotes while maximising asset utilisation
* Lead operational teams, ensuring safety compliance, capability development, and workforce stability
* Oversee quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and client escalations
* Track and report on operational KPIs to support decision-making

* On-time delivery (DIFOT) and schedule adherence

What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated experience in operations management within construction, manufacturing, or heavy logistics
* Strong commercial acumen and accountability for cost, margin, and utilisation
* Proven ability to align sales demand with operational capacity
* Experience leading supervisors and operational teams
* Strong understanding of safety, quality, and risk management
* Proficiency in scheduling, reporting, and operational systems
* Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to maintain a full sales pipeline for manufacturing projects and crane hire
