The role of Senior Merchandising Manager is pivotal in driving the commercial success of our product areas. As a key member of the buying team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize sales and profit.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Mentor and coach buyers in their commercial decisions throughout the product development process, ensuring they deliver the most commercially balanced range in the most profitable way.

2. Oversee the range building process for your product areas, ensuring innovation, speed to market, and calculated risks in new trends.
">
3. Ensure final ranges offer the right mix of print, plain, colour, and end use for the product areas.
">
4. Provide strategic direction and input into the future development of your product areas.
">
5. In collaboration with the design manager, manage the seasonal design direction for your product ranges.
">
6. Plan, enforce, and assess key deadlines to buying teams with respect to business priorities on a weekly basis.
">
7. Oversee product development & range selection for your product areas, ensuring consistency of the brand direction.
">
8. Effectively manage buying team to achieve financial parameters and targets set.
">
9. Respond to sales and market data to make commercial decisions to maximise sale opportunities and minimise potential future risks.
">
10. Trade your product areas, in collaboration with the planning manager & buyer, by optimising profit, maximising department potential through repeats, and minimising slow performance through promotion or mark-downs.

11. Build a strong team with a focus on succession planning.
">
12. Translate the brand vision into clear goals and objectives for direct reports and product teams.
">
13. Provide coaching and training suggestions for the team to management - to maximise their performance and development.

Requirements:

14. A qualification in Fashion.
">
15. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Buyer role or equivalent.
">
16. A proven track record of high performance within a fashion business.
">
17. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
">
18. Exceptional product knowledge and technical expertise within ladies fashion.
">
19. In-depth knowledge of local and overseas fashion markets.
">
20. Strong financial and commercial business acumen.
">
21. Ability to coach, develop, and lead a team.
