The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses. The Digital Services for Business Branch is responsible for the development and delivery of enhancements on the business.gov.au website.
The team is seeking highly experienced full-stack developers who specialise in Sitecore to work across several small projects, ongoing enhancements and BAU. The successful applicants will work as part of an agile multi-disciplinary team, delivering against a prioritised backlog of work.
Key duties and responsibilities
The developer will be required to:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business.gov.au brand guidelines, design systems and compliance with accessibility standards
* Work with product owners, delivery teams, UX and designers to ensure a consistent experience for customers at every touchpoint, across multiple services/ products.
* Provide advice and guidance to content and delivery teams for best practice utilisation of the Sitecore CMS.
* Implement the necessary ongoing Sitecore monitoring and upgrades to best utilise the enterprise modules within Sitecore with a view to implement advanced technologies to harness improved experiences and efficiencies according to the department's direction.
* Collaborate with internal dependency teams to ensure we are meeting the necessary security and compliance and aligning the use of Sitecore to the department’s enterprise architecture ecosystem.
* Be available outside of core business hours to ensure service availability.
Criteria
* Experience working at pace both independently and as part of an Agile multi-disciplinary team
* Experience with Azure PaaS Cloud or equivalent cloud technology
* Minimum 2 years’ experience developing on the Sitecore platform from v9 upwards Experience developing web and frontend applications using the following technology stack:
* Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in Azure DevOps or Microsoft TFS and working with search technologies
* Eye for detail & strong understanding of modern web application development practices
* Experience working with Sitecore xDB, xConnect and implementing website personalisation
* Cultural fit: - Ability to work in a fast paced, agile, environment - Work collaboratively as a team within the organisation to deliver quality outcomes - Communicate honestly, clearly, proactively and consistently - Ability to apply creative thinking to solve complex problems
