Working with acclaimed designer Don McQualter, ZIMMERMANN operates stand-alone stores across Australia, Europe, and the USA, including flagship stores on Madison Ave in New York and Melrose Place in Los Angeles.
Position Purpose
An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Store Manager at our David Jones Claremont location. The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the Concession Manager to lead a team of passionate brand ambassadors, embodying the ZIMMERMANN brand—bringing optimism, creativity, and sophistication. The role involves inspiring the team through leading by example to foster a collaborative and motivating environment aligned with the brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and serve as a role model for team members.
* Maximize sales through excellent client service, visual presentation, and creating a memorable brand experience.
* Ensure all team members achieve high standards in client service, brand, and product knowledge.
* Promote a positive, collaborative working environment that encourages passion, focus, and discipline.
* Drive recruitment in line with Zimmermann's diversity and inclusion goals.
* Lead and develop a high-performing team that meets sales targets, builds morale, and maintains a positive workplace.
* Identify career development pathways for team members in collaboration with the Line Manager.
* Provide ongoing feedback and training, addressing performance issues per company guidelines.
* Maintain high visual presentation standards reflecting the brand's directives.
* Oversee store operations, including stockroom management and stocktake procedures.
* Uphold health and safety policies and procedures.
* Manage store rostering, timesheets, and scheduling efficiently.
