Seeking a Quantity Surveyor to provide high-quality quantity surveying services and support the delivery of projects across various sectors.
About the Role:
* The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with expertise in cost management, reporting, and feasibility studies.
* Proficiency in using CostX and Excel is ideal, as well as analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the team to deliver quantity surveying services
2. Manage cost planning, estimation, and cost management for projects
3. Prepare detailed cost reports and tender documentation
4. Conduct financial feasibility studies and value engineering
5. Provide expert advice on contractual matters and procurement strategies
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
7. Prepare financier reports in accordance with lender requirements
8. Conduct site inspections to verify progress claims and quality of work
9. Review and validate project cost plans, construction budgets, and contractual documentation
10. Assess progress claims and variation submissions, ensuring financial exposure and risk are clearly reported
11. Liaise with developers, financiers, project managers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies
12. Monitor and track drawdown schedules to ensure compliance with conditions precedent and subsequent
13. Provide risk assessments and early warnings on budget overruns, delays, and construction-related financial issues
14. Support lenders during loan origination and due diligence
15. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project financial records and databases
16. Stay updated with industry standards, regulatory compliance, and changes in financial reporting or lending frameworks
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field
* Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Consultancy environment
* Proven experience in providing a full range of pre-contract QS services
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CostX and Excel ideally
* Accreditation: Corporate membership or working towards accreditation with AIQS or RICS
* Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
* Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills
