About the role
The Cheesecake Shop Geelong is seeking a talented Cake Decorator/Pastry Cook to join our team in South Geelong, VIC 3220. This is a casual role, with potential to go full time.
What you'll be doing
1. Creating beautifully decorated cakes and pastries to delight our customers along with keenness for customer service
2. Assisting with the preparation of a variety of sweet treats, including cheesecakes, tortes, and other baked goods using the pre-set recipes
3. Ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in all your work
4. Collaborating with the team to provide exceptional customer service
5. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience as a cake decorator or pastry cook, preferably in a retail or commercial bakery setting is MUST
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cake decorator or pastry cook is required
3. Excellent decorating and piping skills, with an eye for detail and creativity
4. Advanced cake decorating techniques and piping skills are essential for this role
5. Strong baking and pastry-making abilities, with the knowledge to produce a variety of sweet treats
6. The ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
7. A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
