About the Role
The Digital Learning Specialist is a key role within People and Capability Team, reporting to the Director – People Capability.
As a Digital Learning Specialist, you will design, develop and deliver high-quality digital learning experiences that build capability and improve performance across MTC Australia.
Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, the RTO (TSS) and the broader People & Culture team, you'll translate learning needs into engaging, learner-centred digital solutions. Your work will align with organisational strategy, support diverse learner groups, and embed MTC's BIONIC philosophy of care, safety, respect and dignity in every learning experience.
This role is ideal for a creative, technically skilled digital learning professional who enjoys balancing innovation, structure and collaboration in a complex operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and implement engaging digital and blended learning solutions aligned to organisational strategy
* Apply instructional design principles, adult learning theory and the 70:20:10 model
* Develop high-quality eLearning content using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Vyond, Captivate, Camtasia and Adobe products
* Ensure learning content is accessible, learner-centred and suitable for diverse audiences, including English as Second Language (ESL) learners
* Package and maintain SCORM-compliant learning modules within the Learning Management System (LMS)
* Manage course setup, learner audiences, reporting and system data integrity
* Analyse learner feedback and performance data to continuously improve digital learning offerings
* Collaborate with Leaders, SMEs, trainers, operational teams and People & Culture partners on co-designed solutions
* Contribute to digital learning strategy, innovation initiatives and governance of learning assets
* Stay current with emerging technologies, trends and best practices in digital learning
About You
You are an experienced digital learning professional with a strong technical skillset and a passion for creating engaging, effective learning experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and can confidently partner with stakeholders at all levels.
You bring:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in digital learning and eLearning design
* High proficiency in multimedia design, authoring tools and digital production
* Strong instructional design capability and understanding of adult learning principles
* Experience working with Learning Management Systems, SCORM packages and learning analytics
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders
* A learner-centric mindset with a focus on quality, accessibility and continuous improvement
