Dynamic Learning College is taking applications for Casual Wellbeing Assistants - Gosford campus pool. St Philip's Christian College Dynamic Learning offers a tailored learning program for children and young individuals diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and/or Autism (Level 1 & 2). Our mission is to empower these students for lifelong success through evidence-informed methodologies that celebrate their unique strengths. Responsibilities
* Primarily supports the teaching and learning processes of students with additional / special needs under the direction and guidance of the Classroom Teacher to achieve the students' God given potential in a school environment. Special needs may include Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and Autism and/or a Mild Intellectual Delay.
* Accurately document interventions and support provided to students throughout the day;
* Assist the Classroom Teacher in implementing adjustments documented in student's individual learning plans to achieve their goals;
* Assist with providing students with opportunities to develop personal, social and independent learning skills;
* Assist with the creation of classroom resources and displays;
* Assist with supervision and documentation of Disability Adjustments/ Disability Provisions for NAPLAN and various exams;
* Maintain an orderly, tidy and organized classroom and other learning spaces;
* Initiate and participate in school related extracurricular activities/duties.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Passionate about Christian education.
* Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent) and relevant experience, specifically with students with special needs (Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Autism and/or Mild Intellectual Disability).
* Understanding of the development of social/emotional skills and how to embed specific strategies within a school setting.
* Committed and growing Christian values with active church involvement.
* Discretion, confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
* Positive, self-directed, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
* Adaptability and resilience.
* Pedagogical expertise and ongoing professional development.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member, with effective conflict resolution skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proactive in learning new technologies.
* Ability to manage work priorities calmly and methodically.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Current Working with Children Check.
