Are you an experienced Wellbeing Support Worker looking for a meaningful role? Wellness Australia Group is seeking compassionate and skilled wellbeing support workers to support a valued client in the Gympie area.
About the Role
As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you will:
* Work primarily from the historic Gunabul Homestead in Gympie, the region's leading golf and events centre, which also hosts a small community of people living with disability who are all striving to achieve wonderful things.
* Support a primary client who is in the process of establishing a food van based at Gunabul, with plans to attend local markets over time, including assisting them to start, grow and operate this small business.
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to an individual with mental health needs.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of a Positive Behaviour Practitioner.
* Promote the client's independence, dignity and quality of life in all aspects of support.
* Implement NDIS guidelines and consistently uphold human rights in everyday practice.
Please note: Due to the client's personal needs, this position is open to female support workers only. This role is best suited to mature, emotionally resilient applicants who are confident working autonomously in high complexity mental health environments.

Key Requirements
* Experience providing 1:1 complex mental health and psychosocial disability supports, with the maturity to respond to the participant's communication style, trauma history and changing support needs using a trauma-informed approach.
* Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex mental health, including recognising early signs of distress and responding in a calm, trauma-informed and person-centred manner.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
* Computer literacy essential.
* Relevant qualifications in mental health, disability, community services or a related field (highly regarded).
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
