About the Position
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support and help drive our marketing activities. This is a hands-on, creative role suited to someone early in their marketing career who enjoys content, design, and brand storytelling.
The candidate will work closely with senior team members and have exposure to everything from social media management, content creation and copywriting, through to conference preparation and brand execution.
The person we are looking for must have strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. They must be proactive and work well in a collaborative environment. The candidate must be able to quickly learn about the business and category to ensure alignment on messaging and positioning across all communications.
This role is designed for a flexible schedule and is part-time, approximately 20 –25 hours per week, however, for the right person it has the potential to develop into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
* Manage HeartBug's social media presence, primarily LinkedIn
* Create, schedule, and publish content aligned with brand messaging
* Assist with content planning and ongoing content ideas
Copywriting & Messaging
* Develop and refine key messages and copy across:
* Website content
* Social media posts
* Posters, brochures, and printed materials
* Other marketing collateral
* Proofread and review content for accuracy, clarity, and tone
Design & Creative Execution
* Design marketing collateral including:
* Printed materials
* Website banners
* Internal tools such as slide and document templates
* Apply strong visual judgement around layout, hierarchy, and brand cues
* Use design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to bring ideas to life quickly and effectively
Brand & Marketing Support
* Act as a brand champion and guardian, ensuring consistency across all communications
* Support and help lead marketing activities, including preparation for large medical conferences
* Contribute proactive ideas and basic marketing strategy to support business growth
* Assist with a wide range of marketing tasks in a fast-moving environment
Skills
* Experience using social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
* Design experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
* Marketing, communications, or design qualification (or currently studying)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
