StruXi Design is looking for a detail‑driven Finance & Administration Assistant to help keep our design studio running at its best. Perfect for someone who enjoys variety, values precision and thrives in a small, collaborative team.
The Opportunity
In this hands‑on part‑time role, you'll work closely with our Director and People & Projects Leader to support the financial, payroll and administrative functions that underpin our projects and client service. Experience in the design or construction industry is a strong advantage.
What You'll Do
* Support day‑to‑day finance, budgeting and cash‑flow activities, including weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
* Manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations and client account queries.
* Run compliant payroll (fortnightly), superannuation (quarterly), BAS (quarterly) and PAYG (monthly).
* Assist with HR administration: contracts, onboarding packs, inductions, employee records and audit preparation (Fair Work, WHS).
* Maintain compliance across ATO, ASIC, Super and employment law.
* Liaise with our external accountant, banks and auditors.
* Contribute to improving systems and documentation under our Quality Management System.
* Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and consultants to keep information accurate and relationships strong.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in finance/accounts administration (AP/AR, reconciliations, reporting).
* Proficiency in Xero software.
* Working knowledge of Australian payroll and compliance cycles (PAYG, BAS, super, Fair Work).
* Confident HR/admin support skills across onboarding, records and WHS documentation.
* A proactive, collaborative communication style and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Bonus:
Experience in a design or construction environment and/or Total Synergy software.
Hours & Flexibility
* 15–20 hours per week across 3-4 days in the office
