About Your Team:
We're not here to blend in. We're here to shake up the Australian automotive market. As our State Sales Manager, you'll be on the frontlines of growing a new mainstream automotive brand from the ground up—building volume, winning over dealers, and making sure customers know exactly who we are and why we're worth their attention.
Key responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy Implementation:
Execute national sales strategies and programs within the assigned region, tailoring them to regional needs and market trends to maximise impact.
* Dealer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with dealership partners. Provide coaching, support, and regular feedback to enhance dealer performance and customer experience.
* Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics (KPIs) across dealerships, identifying opportunities for growth and addressing performance gaps. Report regularly on regional performance to senior management.
* Marketing and Brand Alignment:
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure regional promotional activities and campaigns are aligned with national branding and sales objectives.
* Financial Management:
Oversee the financial performance of dealerships within the region, including revenue targets, expenses, and profitability. Identify opportunities to improve financial results and operational efficiency.
* Training and Development:
Support dealership sales teams by delivering training on sales processes, product knowledge, and customer engagement to foster a high-performing sales culture.
* Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape changes, and customer needs. Use this information to advise on adjustments to sales tactics and dealership strategies.
* Customer Satisfaction:
Drive customer-centric initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction scores (CSI) across the region, ensuring an exceptional experience for every customer interaction.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in a sales management role within the automotive industry,
OEM experience is preferred
.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving team performance.
* Strong understanding of automotive retail operations and dealership networks.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyse and interpret sales data, financial reports, and market research.
* Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
