VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Barista to be a part of our client’s business, Essen Food & Wine in Echuca. Our client offers a great working environment and a competitive salary for the right candidate.
Objective of The Position:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages while maintaining excellent customer service, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting the overall operations of the café.
Responsible for:
* Day-to-day preparation of coffee and beverages
* Maintaining cleanliness and stocking of café supplies.
Accountable to: Manager/Owner
Performance appraisal: Three months after appointment, then at least annually and/or when required.
Job Descriptions:
* Operate coffee machines and other equipment to brew and prepare beverages
* Grind coffee beans and measure out appropriate amounts for each order
* Froth milk and create specialty drinks
* Clean and maintain coffee machines, equipment, and work areas
* Stock and replenish coffee beans, milk options, flavoured syrups, drinking chocolate, or chai powder
* Provide information and recommendations to customers on coffee and beverage options.
Requirements:
* Past experience as a working chef (if applicable to café menu)
* Advanced knowledge of culinary arts (if applicable)
* High standards of sanitation and quality control
* Expert multitasking ability
* Leadership and strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage inventory and place orders for resupply
* Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment
* Passion for delighting customers with food and beverages
Qualifications/Experience:
* Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role (preferred)
* Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, equipment, and beverage presentation
* Strong customer service and communication skills
Remuneration: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 + Superannuation
