What You'll Be Doing:
* Preparing and cooking of meals/food at the lounge
* Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
* Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
* Cook food in various utensils or grillers
* Check food while cooking to stir or turn
* Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
* Keep a sanitized and orderly workplace in the kitchen
* Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
* Check quality of ingredients
* Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
What We're Looking For:
* Entry level with 1+ year experience as a cook/chef
* Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
* Appropriate qualification/certificates an advantage
* Flexibility to work rotating shifts across a 7-day roster, with shifts commencing as early as 3:00am and finishing as late as 12:30am
* Versatile and willing attitude, strong written communication and customer service skills
* Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
* A working understanding of food safety standards, Current RSA Certificate is a must
* You will require a security check to be able to successfully receive an ASIC Pass as a condition of successful employment
* Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unrestricted working rights in Australia
