Job Title: Horticultural Leader
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate horticultural services across public open spaces, supervising a dedicated team of horticulture crew members and subcontractors.
* Coordinate horticultural maintenance for parks, gardens, and public open spaces.
* Supervise and support a team of horticulture professionals, promoting safe, sustainable, and attractive landscapes.
* Develop and implement seasonal programs for pruning, fertilizing, pest control, and irrigation.
* Operate and maintain light mechanical plant and horticultural equipment.
* Ensure worksite safety, manage traffic flow, and guarantee compliance with relevant legislation.
* Support the training and development of team members, driving continuous improvement and risk management.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to the community and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Horticulture or significant practical experience in open space maintenance.
* Experience operating and maintaining light mechanical plant and irrigation systems.
* Strong knowledge of horticultural techniques, turf maintenance, and pest and disease control.
* Ability to plan, prioritize work, communicate clearly, and motivate others.
