Queensland Ballet are seeking two casual Teaching Artists to deliver the Company's Community, Education, and Dance Health programs across Queensland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans..
* Inspire students through clear, concise, and effective instruction.
* Provide regular, constructive feedback focusing on encouragement and positive reinforcement.
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for assessment, examinations, and performance.
* Conduct or assist with rehearsals and prepare associated rehearsal notes as required.
* Ensure strict adherence to studio etiquette rules by all students, both onsite and offsite.
* Utilise differentiated instruction to support diverse learning styles and foster a love of ballet.
* Mentor students to maximise their potential through training and choreography opportunities as required.
REQUIRED CRITERIA
* Experience in teaching dance.
* Prior experience working with a professional ballet or dance accompany, as a professional ballet dancer.
* Positive and proactive approach to work, willing to be involved in all aspects of the Academy and demonstrating flexibility with working patterns in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build good supportive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider dance community and the ability to produce concise electronic reports for parent and student communication.
* A valid working with children card.
Activities are accessible to community members of all ages and abilities, who may or may not possess prior dance experience, and are from diverse social, cultural, geographic and economic backgrounds.
State‑wide and some national travel may be required as part of your role.
