Your new company
A federal government agency is seeking a Senior Advisor - People and Performance for a six-week temporary assignment. The preferred location is Townsville, but candidates based in Canberra or Cairns will be considered.
Your new role
You will provide expert HR advice and case management support across performance, conduct, and workplace relations. You'll work closely with managers to implement workforce strategies and improve capability.
Key duties include:
* Managing complex HR cases including grievances, misconduct, and disputes
* Advising on enterprise agreement, policy, and legislation
* Supporting performance and behaviour management
* Preparing reports, briefings, and formal correspondence
* Delivering supervisor training and coaching
* Contributing to continuous improvement in HR processes
What you'll need to succeed
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline (or higher) security clearance
* Minimum 3 years' HR experience in a government or complex environment
* Strong communication, judgement, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in case management and workplace investigations
* Knowledge of APS employment frameworks is desirable
* Qualifications in HR, workplace relations, or related fields are an advantage
