The Role:
As Procurement Manager, you'll lead procurement strategy across both direct and indirect categories, with a particular focus on agricultural inputs, packaging, and logistics. This is a hybrid role combining strategic procurement leadership with operational oversight, based in the South Eastern suburbs (3-4 days office-based).
Key responsibilities:
* Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across key categories including dairy, citrus, packaging, and freight
* Manage critical supplier relationships, particularly in the agricultural sector
* Lead and develop the existing purchasing team
* Optimize the cost base while ensuring supply security
* Oversee contract management and negotiation
* Collaborate with NZ and Asian operations centres
Key Categories:
* Agricultural products (milk, citrus, fresh produce)
* Packaging materials and equipment
* Domestic and international freight
* Broad scope of indirect spend

* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to lead high stakes, high value negotiations
* Experience in FMCG, agricultural, or related industries
* Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
