Role Overview:
The National Business Development Manager role is responsible for securing and shaping new commercial partnerships. It's a solutions focused, consultative sales role, ideal for someone who thrives in strategic, high value deal environments. While prospecting activity is still important, you'll be supported by a dedicated internal lead generation team, giving you a steady flow of qualified opportunities to act on and convert.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive new business growth nationally, with a split between qualified inbound leads and prospecting.
* Manage a revenue target, building tailored solutions.
* Lead complex sales engagements with stakeholders ranging from procurement to C-suite.
* Collaborate with internal teams, researching the market, identifying gaps and potential target customers.
* Present clear, commercially sound proposals.
Skills & Attributes:
* Background in solution-based or consultative sales, ideally with experience selling complex services or national contracts.
* Able to work across multiple stakeholder levels and simplify detailed commercial models.
* Confident, proactive, and independent, but also values teamwork and shared wins.
* Industry experience must come from transport/logistics/3PL, facilities management, packaging, or industrial services.
