Role Description
The Disability Support Worker is a community based role located in Port Augusta, SA. The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and maintain independence in their daily lives. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with personal care, facilitating social and community participation, promoting well-being and safety, and working collaboratively with clients and other service providers. You will foster a positive and respectful environment while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care.
Qualifications
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to ensure effective engagement with clients, families, and team members.
Knowledge of Safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain client safety and well-being.
Technical Support skills to assist clients with any relevant assistive technologies or devices they use.
A current First Aid Certificate, a valid driver's license, NDIS Clearance and a Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain them).
Understanding of NDIS and person-centered care is advantageous.
