Warehouse Assistant Job Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of stock from our storeroom to the sales floor.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Stock Management: You will be responsible for unpacking, labeling, and organizing merchandise in an efficient and orderly manner.
* Delivery Processing: You will receive and process incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy of items and quantities.
* Equipment Handling: You will utilize various machinery such as Pallet Jack, Walkie Stacker, and trolley to manage stock effectively.
* Record Keeping: You will maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound stock movements using the Inwards/Outwards Goods Register.
* Customer Support: You will provide excellent customer service, supporting customers with pickups of their purchased items.
* Store Maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining store floor and stockroom standards.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Retail Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a retail environment is preferred but not essential.
* Customer Service Skills: Previous customer service experience is highly desirable.
* Machinery Operation: Ability to operate various machinery such as Pallet Jack, Walkie Stacker, and trolley (training will be provided).
* Self-Sufficiency: Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
* Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 15kgs between floor and shoulder, 10kgs above shoulder height on your own, and 45kgs with assistance.
