Ventia is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our Justice Contract at the Operations Centre based in Canning Vale. This is a Full Time, Permanent position with flexible work from home options as well as flexible start and finish times.
This position involves delivering end-to-end finance services for the contract, including accurate reporting, forecasting, budgeting, payroll, accounts, and month-end consolidation for the Court Security and Custodial Services (CS&CS) contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse project performance, overheads, and forecasts
- Compare actual costs to budgeted costs to identify variances
- Deliver quarterly reforecasts and project margin analysis
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business
- Conduct ad hoc financial modelling and strategic analysis
- Oversee payroll processing across the full pay–cost–bill cycle
- Manage accounts payable, including PO creation (SAP/Ariba), vendor management, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliant purchasing and maintain PO accuracy through timely resolution and goods receipting
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards it is highly regarded
- Experience in Project Finance, preferably in large organizations
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and Ariba is highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence non-financial personnel
