About the role
Joining the Sunfam team as a Fabrication and Installation Technician, you will be joining Bundaberg’s leading retailer in agricultural products. In this varied role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling pipework and irrigation equipment – both in our workshop and on client sites.
Responsibilities:
As a Fabrication and Installation Technician, you will:
- Read and interpret technical drawings/ blueprints of irrigation systems
- Perform welding on various metals and materials for the fabrication and repair of irrigation system components (e.g., pipes, fittings, supports, valves, etc.)
- Collaborate with project teams to assemble and install irrigation equipment and systems
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and materials in good working order
- Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
About you:
To succeed at Sunfam, you have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and Stick
- Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work as a team
- Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- MR or HR licence an advantage
- Forklift Licence an advantage
