The role of Senior Speech Pathologist - Aboriginal Maternal Infant and Child Health offers an exciting opportunity to work with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, empowering children and supporting the development of their communication and confidence.
This paediatric position is a temporary parental leave relief position until 2 August 2026 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours. The successful applicant will provide culturally safe, evidence-based care to young children with complex communication needs, working in close partnership with families, carers, and community supports.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality assessment and intervention services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged 0–5 years across the Shoalhaven.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to families and children.
* Develop and implement individualized plans to promote optimal child development and wellbeing.
* Provide training and education to parents and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
Benefits
* Salary: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour + 11.5% super & salary packaging
