Insurance Risk Management Specialist
This role is pivotal in identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting insurance specific risks while contributing to the broader financial risk landscape.
We are seeking an individual who thrives on challenge, collaboration and impact, and can support embedment and delivery of insurance risk management across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and evolve how insurance risk is understood and managed within the business.
* Champion a culture where risk is seen as a business enabler, not just a control function.
* Bring technical expertise to dimensionalise stakeholder engagement.
* Engage, educate and influence senior leaders and subject matter experts to bring insurance risk to the forefront of strategic conversations.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, with expertise in the general insurance industry.
* Relevant tertiary education in quantitative fields such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
* Knowledge of APRA prudential regulation and other relevant regulatory requirements impacting the insurance industry.
* Experience in developing risk reporting for various levels of the business, including the Board.
* Demonstrated leadership skills, high impact presentation skills and the ability to think strategically.
