JBS Australia is seeking a strategic and commercially driven leader to take on the role of Head of Small Sales – Southern, overseeing lamb, mutton, and goat sales across domestic and international markets.
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for someone with deep industry knowledge, strong stakeholder relationships, and a passion for driving growth through collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire the smalls sales team across the Southern Division
* Develop and manage strategic relationships with major retailers
* Collaborate cross-functionally with livestock, operations, marketing, and product development teams
* Drive sales planning, execution, and performance aligned with business strategy
* Manage inventory and optimise revenue through product innovation and market alignment
* Expand market reach through customer acquisition and tailored product offerings
* Contribute to strategic planning and provide insights using data analytics and market trends
* Represent JBS in stakeholder engagements and industry forums
What you will bring to the table:
* 10+ years’ experience in sales leadership, preferably in the meat or FMCG industry
* Proven track record in managing teams and delivering revenue growth
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Deep understanding of lamb, mutton, and goat markets
* Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
