Play a vital role in ensuring the University continues to meet its financial obligations with accuracy, integrity, and exceptional client service.

Who you are

You display strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. By ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with organisational policies, you will contribute directly to the reliability of financial reporting and the smooth operation of UniSQ as a whole.

What you'll do

In this role, you'll ensure the University's financial obligations are met with accuracy, integrity and timeliness. You'll process accounts payable transactions, verify and record general ledger entries, manage supplier reconciliations and handle both domestic and international payments, student payments – all while maintaining strong financial controls, compliance with policy and legislative requirements, supporting operational teams, and fostering positive relationships with external vendors.

Working closely with colleagues across Financial Services and the broader University, you will provide responsive, client-focused support to staff, suppliers and external stakeholders. You will complete the entire accounts payable process, including verifying invoices, coordinating approval workflows, preparing payment runs using the most appropriate payment method. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills and commitment to service excellence will help maintain trusted relationships and support the University's operational and financial performance.

What will help you succeed

To thrive in this role, you will require a relevant qualification (Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Certificate IV with experience, or equivalent experience and/or training) as well as:

* Strong communication, organisation and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply financial rules, guidelines and policies while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
* Experience using financial software, accounts payable systems and/or foreign currency processing tools.
* High level of accuracy in recording, reconciling and maintaining financial data – particularly creditor accounts.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to deliver reliable client-focused financial services.

Salary: Total remuneration range $$94,129 to $106,754 pa (includes salary range of $79,383 to $90,031 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
