We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Social Worker. This role includes providing ongoing support, direct work, and assessments to ensure the needs of all parties are met.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in social work or a similar field
* Prior experience working with children, young people, and their families
* Experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments and developing client plans
* Knowledge of child protection legislation, government initiatives, and agendas across the ACT
The successful candidate will possess tenacity, diligence, and resilience, with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Ongoing Support:
* Providing regular phone and supervisory visits, including occasional unannounced visits, to ensure thorough documentation
Supporting Children and Families:
* Assisting with smooth introductions to foster carers and maintaining contact to ensure the needs of all parties are met
Direct Work and Assessments:
* Performing direct work and assessments of children, young people, and foster carers based on identified needs
Risk Assessment and Compliance:
* Ensuring Risk Assessments are completed, meeting all requirements and complying with child protection procedures
