The Future Generation Joint Venture combines the engineering expertise of WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, and has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0. Located within the Snowy Mountains in NSW, this project aims to deliver one of the world's largest pumped hydro schemes.
Snowy 2.0 marks a new chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project, providing on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations. This iconic project continues to build a legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
The Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for onsite planning, direction, and control of construction activities to meet cost, quality, safety, environmental, and completion targets across all sites.
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, or Construction Management
White Card
Experience:
15 to 20 years in major civil construction projects
Proven leadership of large project teams with successful delivery records
Experience managing large projects financially, especially PPP projects
Diplomatic communicator, valuing community and stakeholder relationships
Experience in sustainability initiatives and environmental sensitivities during construction
Required Competencies:
Understanding of workforce safety importance
Leadership and management skills suitable for major infrastructure projects
Project management skills across procurement, design, construction, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
Ability to prepare and deliver high-level presentations to senior management and clients
Strong commercial acumen, contract management, and negotiation skills
Negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Proactive and initiative-driven
Collaborative skills
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
Time management skills
High attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Track and control schedules and costs to achieve project completion within budget and time, ensuring value for money
Support planning and organization of work schedules for safe and timely delivery
Lead in developing skills, well-being, and a supportive work environment
