Job Description
As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the visual appeal and ambiance of our hotel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the interior and exterior of hotel are kept in pristine condition through expert painting and finishing techniques.
This role is a live off island.
About the role...
* Prepare and clean surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, and patching as needed.
* • Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colours.
* Apply paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces.
* Inspect surfaces for imperfections and make necessary repairs before painting.
* Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working order.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Coordinate with other hotel staff to schedule painting projects with minimal disruption to guests.
* Keep an inventory of paint supplies and reorder as necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.
* Proficiency in a variety of painting techniques and finishes.
* Knowledge of different types of paints, varnishes, and solvents.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‐quality work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Holds a current white card
* Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
