Perioperative Care Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Care Specialist to support our Neurosciences Service. The successful candidate will provide clinical support and teaching to all relevant personnel within the specialist area, assisting with the development of safe and high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing or operating department practice, with experience in providing information and support to patients undergoing anaesthesia/surgery. They will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, organisingself and others to deliver excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical support and teaching to all relevant personnel within the specialist area.
* Assist with the development of safe and high-quality patient care.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements:
* NMC/HCPC registration.
* RGN Anaesthetic qualification (if practising anaesthetics) or Diploma in Operating Department Practice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Arrangements:
The post holder will be required to work an internal rotation shift pattern to provide 24/7 cover for the Neurosurgery and Polytrauma Service at Brighton.
Training and Development:
The post holder will be expected to complete an orientation period to the clinical area in accordance with the Trust's induction programme.
