Job Description Reporting to the Group Manager - Human Resources as Work Place Relations Lead you provide business support across all areas of employee and industrial relations.
This role ensures fair, consistent, and values-aligned workplace practices that reflect the Anglican ethos of respect, compassion, and integrity.
Working closely with leaders and HR professionals, you will lead and deliver complex case management, conflict management, support positive employee engagement, and help foster a culture of trust and accountability.
Key focus areas: Managing complex employee relations issues and investigations.
Leading mediation, conflict resolution, and restorative practices.
Designing and delivering training and capability development programs.
Developing and improving workplace relations policies and frameworks.
Supporting organisational change, culture initiatives, and enterprise bargaining.
Providing strategic reporting, insights, and advice to leadership.
The Successful Applicant The ideal Work Place Relations Lead will have a strong track record supporting a complex business with employee and industrial relations matters within a unionised or highly regulated environment.
You will possess the following; - Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience managing complex workplace relations and conflict resolution matters, with previous experience in a faith-based organisation, highly regarded.
- Demonstrated skills in mediation, negotiation, and facilitating constructive outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and employment law.
- Experience in designing and delivering workplace relations or leadership capability training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to provide pragmatic, risk-aware advice in a complex organisational environment.
- Experience in organisational change or culture transformation initiatives will be highly regarded.
