Details: The Assistant Director position supports the implementation of government initiatives particularly involving changes to the driver licence and vehicle registration database, providing sound advice, with a high attention to detail and negotiation skills.
This successful applicant must have the ability to work independently, manage multiple initiatives, prioritise competing demands, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines. The position will work closely with various stakeholders to provide strategic product direction, through constant communication with project teams, managing priorities and ensure alignment with senior management, while also looking for opportunities for improvement and remaining adaptive in a changing regulatory setting.
Reporting to the Director and working closely with Senior Director, the Assistant Director will build, manage, and maintain high quality collaborative and constructive relationships across the Licensing and Registrations Branch, Digital, Data and Information and relevant external entities, to drive positive outcomes.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Experience with Road Transport legislation and the Rego ACT system is highly desired.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position operates in activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
