The Role
We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality, safe and efficient nursing support for urgent conditions that are not immediately life threatening. In collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN), you will ensure all patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service receive appropriate care. Your Responsibilities
* Create a welcoming, organized and efficient clinical environment; maintain centre compliance, stock, and smooth daily operations. Balance administrative responsibilities (40%) such as Medicare billing, accurate coding, and meticulous documentation with hands-on clinical work (60%) that directly impacts patient care.
* Be a friendly face for patients: assist with appointment scheduling and maintain up-to-date registration details for the best patient experience.
* Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver care for injuries and illnesses, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative setting.
* Perform a variety of clinical care activities: conduct patient history assessments, administer medications, wound care, plastering, and provide education to empower recovery.
* Maintain Professional Standards and Safety: deliver care within scope of practice and in line with ForHealth policies to create a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Support patient guidance, make sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria.
* Document with precision and care to support ongoing treatment and quality care.
* Champion workplace health and safety by participating in safety initiatives and reporting incidents or hazards promptly.
About You
* Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
* Experience requirements (select one):
o 3 years as a Primary Care/General Practice nurse, or
o 2 years in an Emergency Department or similar setting, or
o 3 years in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative approach.
* Patient-centred care mindset and a personable approach.
