The Position
1. Work with a team of Chefs, kitchen utilities and dining room employees to deliver exceptional quality and service
2. Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
3. Preparing buffet style bulk cooking for students
4. Menu planning, costing and stocktake
5. Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
6. Offer guidance and support to the wider kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customers
The Person
7. You will be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
8. Sound HACCP knowledge and experience
9. Previous experience in bulk cooking is essential. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
10. Be a team player, but also be able to work autonomously
11. Attention to detail and great time management is a must
12. Current drivers licence required
