Assessing customer needs and recommend appropriate transformers products via on time submission of comprehensive techno‑commercial proposals or bids that distinguish Hitachi Energy value proposition in the market. Plan work activities to deliver on designated sales operations tasks in support of achieving the defined organization targets set for Orders growth.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Review tenders and support the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost‑effective solutions and in the preparation of offers, provide technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/solution/service‑related training.
- Prepare/support preparation of comprehensive quality technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives.
- Ensure the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer and costing models, indicating prices and trading conditions, ensure the definition of items to be included in proposals, coordinate Legal review of terms and provide inputs required.
- Support Development and maintain detailed understanding of the transformers business strategy and market positioning, prepare various analyses as related to market segment, product and competitors.
- Analyse customer needs and competitor offer through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization, perform Win/lost proposal analysis, identify potential cause, and recommend future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.
- Participate in negotiations with customers on technical, contractual, and commercial content of the proposal, provide information on the risk review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy and participate in the risk review assessment as needed. Drive and hold yourself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved, attend required health, safety and environment training, and report injuries, incidents, hazards and near‑miss events.
- Be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Degree qualifications in Engineering (electrical) or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Sales or Tendering Engineer.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self‑motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies, deep knowledge and understanding of the electrical engineering industry, strong technical knowledge of Medium and High Voltage Distribution and Power Transformers, estimating and tendering experience (MS Excel based system), sales tools literacy and competence in using SFDC (preferable), MS Word, MS Excel.
- Able to collaborate within the broader business. Critical consulting skills in bid‑no‑bid issues, basic risk review experience, time management, coordination, accuracy, attention to detail and performing in a pressured environment are necessary.
- Exceptional communication skills along with interpersonal and negotiation skills. Valuable communication skills and assertive business acumen.
