The Community You Will Join
The Supply – Stays team plays a key role in shaping these stays. As a multidisciplinary team, we partner with Hosts to develop high-quality, repeatable, and commercially viable offerings aligned with our brand values. We are seeking a Market Associate, primarily focused on Australia and New Zealand, to support and grow our network of Hosts and Partners. This role reports to the Manager, Field Operations.
The Difference You Will Make
As a Market Associate, you will focus on the retention and growth of long-tail Hosts in your assigned territory within Australia and New Zealand. You will establish and nurture relationships with emerging professional host accounts, supporting strategic initiatives such as supply and pricing optimization, host recruitment, and platform education. As these Hosts grow on the platform, you'll help them maintain high hospitality standards for an excellent guest experience. You will also support (Senior) Market Managers in delivering education programs like webinars and email communications, helping Host Entrepreneurs thrive on Airbnb.
A Typical Day
* Prospect and consult with new and emerging professional host accounts in your territory.
* Manage accounts to meet or exceed sales goals, involving high-volume calls and meetings.
* Implement scaled strategies to manage and optimize a large number of Hosts.
* Conduct quarterly calls and business reviews with partners.
* Secure availability during high-demand dates.
* Educate clients on product changes and relay feedback to internal teams.
* Respond promptly to hosts and occasionally travel within your territory for in-person support.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure market success.
* Analyze data to identify and act on strategic opportunities to increase sales.
* Understand technical integrations to support clients effectively.
* Represent Airbnb at external meetings and industry conferences.
Your Expertise
* 3+ years in sales, account management, or partner support.
* 2+ years in hospitality, travel, or tech (preferred).
* Strong time management and prioritization skills.
* Proven ability to manage a book of business effectively.
* Goal-oriented, proactive, persistent in overcoming challenges.
* Excellent communication skills for phone, email, and in-person interactions.
* Team player, willing to share best practices.
* Proficient in data analysis and application.
* Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
* Willing to travel within the region when needed.
* Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy; hosting experience is a plus.
* Experience working cross-functionally.
* Capable of strategic and tactical execution in ambiguous environments.
* Proficient in CRM software; Salesforce experience is a plus.
* Self-starter, resourceful, and independent.
