Operations and Business Development Manager

We are seeking an Operations and Business Development Manager who is passionate, proactive, and strategic—capable of leading both the day-to-day and strategic operations of our business. This role involves shaping our service excellence, enhancing team performance, and upholding our commitments to dignity, autonomy, and cultural inclusion for every client.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, client-facing position focused on attracting new clients and expanding our reach in aged care. You will lead strategy, outreach, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to increase referrals and service flow. You will provide leadership to a growing team dedicated to client outcomes, quality standards, growth, and performance of our in-home care services across Australia. This role is ideal for someone committed to elevating our client-focused aged care programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
2. Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, case managers, coordinators, and providers.
3. Generate new leads and attract jobs through networking, marketing, and outreach efforts.
4. Grow sales and develop the business further.
5. Source new clients and tailor services to meet their needs.
6. Maintain excellent relationships with existing clients.
7. Conduct presentations to key clients and interested parties.
8. Follow leads proactively through to sale closure.
9. Establish and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Identify new opportunities and solutions strategically.
11. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and expos; be available to travel as needed.
12. Implement local business development strategies to foster sustainable growth and diversification.
13. Lead daily operations, workforce management, client services, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
14. Oversee functions aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and maintain strong Star Ratings.
15. Partner with Clinical Care Coordinators to ensure excellence in clinical care, medication safety, and client well-being.
16. Monitor occupancy, optimize HCP funding, and support financial sustainability with the Finance Manager.
17. Ensure high team performance through effective leadership, recruitment, training, and development.
18. Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive organizational culture rooted in Gratitude's philosophy of care.
19. Support strategic projects, quality systems, infection control, audits, and regulatory engagement.
20. Provide coaching and support for complex client needs, service delivery issues, and critical incidents.
21. Drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams.
22. Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

About You

* A Registered Nurse with Operations Manager experience.
* Experience in a senior operations management role, with knowledge of contemporary practices (highly desirable).
* Experience in the Aged Care industry and familiarity with the regulatory framework (essential).
* Knowledge of the AN-ACC is desirable.
* Understanding of quality standards and accreditation processes.
* Proven ability to manage change effectively to meet organizational goals.
* Excellent people management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
* Strong planning, organizational, and project leadership abilities.
* High-level interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and strategic operational competence.
