We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Advanced Trainee at the Royal Darwin Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality patient care across various services, including antenatal, postnatal, gynaecology, labour ward, and reproductive health services.
* Participate in perioperative care, operative services, and post-operative follow-up for specialist gynaecological patients.
* Contribute to after-hours cover, including rostered night shifts, weekend shifts, and sick-on-call roster, as well as outreach service.
* Where deemed appropriate and credentialed, participate in consultant roster with appropriate support from another consultant.
* Supervise, support, and evaluate junior staff in the provision of inpatient care and medical student education.
* Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role-modelling behaviour.
* Participate in management and leadership roles, which may include rostering, supporting junior staff wellbeing, and chairing registrar meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Eligible for general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Completed basic RANZCOG training and now eligible to complete advanced RANZCOG training years 5 and/or 6.

* Demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving First Nations Women's health and Rural Health.
* Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research, and quality assurance activities.
