Boilermaker / Fitter | 7/7 Roster | DIDO
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Boilermakers and Fitters to join a well‑established mining operation in Far North Queensland. These roles are offered on an ongoing basis and suit tradespeople who are safety‑focused and experienced working on fixed plant within a mine site environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of fixed plant and associated mining equipment. The work is hands‑on and physically demanding, requiring a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship in an operational mine setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant and processing equipment
* Perform welding, fabrication, fitting, and mechanical works as required
* Diagnose faults and complete troubleshooting efficiently
* Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely
* Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams
* Ensure all work complies with workplace health, safety, and environmental standards
About You
* Trade qualified Boilermaker or Fitter
* Minimum 3+ years' post‑trade experience
* Previous mining or processing plant experience (highly regarded)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Licences & Tickets
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (essential)
* HR Licence (desirable)
* EWP, Forklift, and Confined Space tickets (highly advantageous)
* Dogman or Rigger tickets (desirable)
* Welding experience (advantageous for Fitters)
