About the role
Our Manager, Workplace Relations Consulting leads the delivery, performance, and growth of our Workplace Relations team, including the Workplace Relations Consulting and Business Advice Hotline (BAH) functions.
This role is responsible for overseeing team operations, budgeting, service quality, and performance reporting. The role is also primarily responsible for the delivery of a workplace relations and consulting services, providing advice and representation to Members and clients on a fee for service basis.
The role also ensures ongoing education and up-to-date knowledge of industrial relations legislation and case law changes.
About You
You're confident in managing teams, budgets, and performance targets, and you have a track record of delivering high-quality industrial relations advice and consultancy services to clients or members.
You're proactive in identifying opportunities for growth, comfortable presenting in professional settings, and confident working with internal and external stakeholders.
Other essential knowledge, skills, and experience required for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Tertiary qualification/s in law or human resources management or the equivalent relevant experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments, and Modern Awards
* Significant experience in the delivery of consulting services on a fee-paying basis
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
* Strong knowledge and experience interpreting industrial instruments (enterprise agreements and awards), and HR policies and procedures, Employment Contracts, Disciplinary and Termination, Unfair Dismissals and General Protection Claims, Long term illness/absences, Workplace Investigations, Payroll Audits
* Demonstrated experience in representation in the Fair Work Commission and South Australian Employment Tribunal
* Demonstrated ability to provide practical advice and tailored solutions to team members and clients on a range of employment matters
* Experience leading a team.
