Operations Coordinator
At our organization, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Coordinator to lead the delivery of key operational services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing diverse teams, improving service delivery, and driving high-impact community outcomes. They will have experience in coordinating teams, contractors, and multiple service streams, as well as strong planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance skills.
We're looking for someone who is a proactive communicator, able to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to balance community, environmental, and financial outcomes in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead staff, contractors, and consultants across multiple operational service areas.
* Oversee the delivery of horticulture, public cemetery services, works/maintenance, depot operations, and plant & fleet programs.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, work schedules, and service improvement initiatives.
* Ensure operations meet legislative, regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
* Manage budgets, reporting, tenders, funding submissions, and strategic planning.
* Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Support staff development, performance management, and capability growth.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated leadership experience in operational or works-based environments.
* Experience managing budgets, contractors, service delivery, and compliance.
* Ability to implement policies, procedures, and strategic work programs.
* Understanding of safety, regulatory, and legislative requirements relevant to council operations.
* Proven ability to lead staff development and performance outcomes.
