About the Role – Make a Real Difference Every Day
We are looking to welcome an IdentifiedPractice Quality and Workforce Development Consultant to be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of workforce development strategic solutions and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the program.
* It is a genuine occupational requirement that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
* Full time role government funded with possible extension.
* Level 7 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $119,094 - $124,074 + Super.
* Ability to travel to remote communities in the Far North Queensland Cape and Gulf areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a SafeKIDS workforce capability plan though contemporary people and culture methodology to improve and enhance practices in areas of diversity and inclusion, learning and development, recruitment and selection, wellbeing, and talent management.
* In consultation with the Director of Out of Home Care develop strategic and operational initiatives relating to workforce development strategies with consideration of sustainable, economic, environmental, social and governance factors and in alignment with policies, practices and procedures.
* Develop and coordinate professional learning and development pathways to assist in building workforce capability.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a specialist workforce development role, or similar, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, learning and development, recruitment, selection and wellbeing.
* High level of cultural awareness and demonstrated workforce development experience gained from working with people from different backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* In-depth knowledge of the Out of Home Care and Child Protection sectors, including the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF), or the ability to develop this knowledge base quickly.
Other Requirements
* Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
* Current driver's licence.
* Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
* Willingness of a respected Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural referee to vouch for your appropriateness for this role.
