We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our Corporate Finance Division in a permanent part-time capacity. This role is primarily based in Hazelmere, with occasional travel to our Northbridge office.
This position would suit someone available to work school hours, Monday to Friday; however, we are also open to discussing alternative working hours. The role offers variety, project work opportunities, and a friendly, inclusive work environment.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, and supported by the Group Payroll team, you will be responsible for maintaining payroll records and delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll for over 150 salaried staff on a monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process manual pays as required
• Maintain and update payroll master data
• Collect, calculate, and enter payroll information
• Generate payroll reports as required for the business
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation, and stay informed of any changes and their impact on payroll
• Assist with month-end and ad-hoc legislative reporting
• Processing of new starters and terminations
About you:
• 3-4 years' experience working in payroll
• High attention to detail, high level of organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
• Solid understanding of awards and payroll legislation
• Confidence in end-to-end payroll processes
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with using Pronto (desirable)
