APPLICANTS MUST BE – Motivated, reliable, have experience in similar type work, be physically fit and a team player, be able to meet production deadlines and be available full time and for an ongoing period.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fibreglass construction or boat building is required.
What would be highly regarded:
* Ability / experience working with fibreglass and what that includes
* Experience in composite materials, timber, marine plumbing and skin fittings including laminating, cutting/grinding and surface preparation
* Experience as a Boat Builder, Trade Assistant or similar marine construction role
* Strong practical skills and knowledge of boat-building techniques, materials and tools
* Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot as part of a team
* Good eye for detail with a focus on accuracy and quality first time
* Work within a medium-size team and stay on task unsupervised
* Experience epoxy composite construction is preferred
* Motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and targets
* Understanding and willingness to adhere to safe work practices
* Reliability and a great work ethic
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
* Australian work rights are sufficient for this position.
