We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter who will be responsible in keeping our machines running efficiently and safely.
About the role
You will be working with the Plant Engineering Supervisor and team to ensure 100% up time of plant and equipment within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance of both facility and equipment
- To ensure issues are identified and addressed as effectively and efficiently as possible
- To fix plant and equipment where required to keep equipment operational
- General fabrication, including welding
- General machining to manufacture components
- To work as a team to achieve the best outcome for business
- Other duties as required and directed by supervisor or manager
What you’ll bring:
- Ability to liaise with all levels of staff and contractors
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Ability to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities
- Ability to meet set priorities despite conflicting pressures and competing demands

What We’re Looking For:
- General machine (lathe/Milling machine operations)
- General welding/fabrication skills (Stick/mig/tig)
- General Printing/die cutting/ sheeting machine experience if possible
- Flexible skills to work on any machines we have on site
- General hydraulic /pneumatics experience, preferably someone with the post trade certificate 4 in fluid power.
- Qualified Mechanical fitter/engineering trade certificate 3.
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Advanced fault finding and trouble shooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Ability to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities
